SXSW 2023 ready to learn the origin story of Tetris

A film about the creation of Tetris has been in the works for quite some time and is now ready to drop. Audiences will get a first look at the Apple TV+ film at SXSW Film and TV Festival next month. Taron Egerton plays the role of Henk Rogers who is set on getting everyone to play this game.

The film directed by Jon S. Baird takes you back to the game’s origin and creation. The popular video game made its way around the globe during the Cold War era. Tetris inventor Alexey Pajitnov, played by Nikita Efremov, joined forces with Henk who decides to go to the Soviet Union and promises him millions.

The film’s trailer begins with Europe’s “The Final Countdown” which then renditions to Korobeiniki which is the main theme of Tetris.

This is one of the greatest games of all time and the film will show you how it made its way to your NES and Game Boy. Pretty much right at your fingertips. FERNTV can’t wait for this one because after watching this, it will all make sense when we solve this puzzle.
