Finn Wolfhard in Crash Land @SXSW 2026
Stranger Thing’s Finn Wolfhard plays a stuntman who teams up with another stuntman to film a movie about how their lives have meaning

This is a pivotal moment in actor Finn Wolfhard‘s career as he wrapped up Stranger Things for the final season. His popularity is still soaring, though as he was recently a host on Saturday Night Live and on the popular sketch “Snack Homiez” with Aesop Rocky and Sabrina Carpenter.
He is now set to star in a film called Crash Land, which will premiere at SXSW. He plays opposite actor Gabrielle Labelle as they both play amateur stuntmen. In Crash Land, the two stuntmen try to make a movie about themselves to show audiences that stuntmen are worthy. But they do all these shenanigans while they get drunk and bother the locals to the extent that they are seen as baffoons.
Crash Land also features Billy Bryk, who is also in the film Hell of a Summer with Finn Wolfhard, which we featured during TIFF back in 2023. This time around Crash Land is directed by his brother Dempsey Bryk after being in such films as The Fight Machine and Netflix’s “The Silence”.
This is definitely the time for fans and critics of Finn Wolfhard to see if he can make that jump from a child actor to an adult. Which has traditionally been so hard for child actors to do. But since we have seen shades of this in Hell of A Summer and SNL, we believe here on FERNTV that he’s on the path. Be set to have some silly fun, and the fact that this film is Canadian, there might be some Super Dave influence. FERNTV says make sure you find the time to watch this during SXSW.
