HOT DOCS 2018-SLUT OR NUT: DIARY OF A RAPE TRIAL

You have to respect the courage of Mandi Gray who has put together along with all female team this important full length documentary of her struggle after being raped at York University by a fellow PhD student.  Slut or Nut: Diary of a Rape Trial documents Mandi’s struggle with the police force, the legal system and the university itself who all did not take her seriously.  She then turns to activism to advocate herself and other women who have been in her position.  Slut or Nut is a documentary that cannot be missed during this year at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival because it is not only about women being sexually assaulted or raped.  This documentary shows the long and gruelling process of what it is it like to have justice served.   FERNTV spoke to Mandi Gray to discuss what it means to have a documentary like Slut or Nut:  Diary of a Rape Trial on a platform like Hot Docs.
