The Face of Horror TIFF 2026: Technicolor Horror Hits Midnight Madness

Anna Biller makes her long-awaited return to the big screen with The Face of Horror, set to have its World Premiere as part of the Midnight Madness programme at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival. Marking Biller’s first feature since her 2016 cult favourite The Love Witch, the film continues the filmmaker’s fascination with the visual language of classic cinema. Set in 14th-century England, The Face of Horror follows an unfaithful man who becomes haunted by the ghost of his dead wife, who returns seeking revenge.
