HOT DOCS 2018: TIBOR

Published

on

It is really nice to see that Hot Docs is giving a chance for a lot of the local filmmakers in Toronto again this year to showcase their work at such a prestigious festival.  The opportunity gives these filmmakers a chance to gain feedback that is essential to their work in the future.  The festival itself has many mentors and influences that will help guide the path that filmmakers such as Petra O’ Toole would like to pursue.  With her short film Tibor which will premiering at this year’s Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival, the sky is the limit when it comes to gaining knowledge about the industry and its future.  Tibor is a film that is based on Petra’s grandfather who shows us the exact science of his soup recipe.   The film actually reminds us here on FERNTV of last year’s documentary from Sofia Bohndanowicz called Maison du Bonheur which has that charming style of cinematography.  That being said, we can see that Petra O’Toole is already on that path to success in the industry.  We spoke to Petra O’Toole as she discusses Tibor into more depth.
