HOT DOCS 2018: MORE HUMAN THAN HUMAN

Published

on

Even though you cannot see Alexa or Siri, these two iconic artificial intelligence characters have been prominent in our everyday lives.  When you listen to popular podcasts from around the world like that of Joe Rogan, you can hear of AI taking many forms such as driverless automobiles, robotic nurses or those that are just like in the film Ex Machina.  Director Tommy Pallotta brings in an in depth look of what it really means to live in the age of artificial intelligence.   Already creating a buzz at SXSW, More Human Than Human follows director Tommy Pallotta as he tries to build a robot to replace him as a filmmaker.  Just announced today, More Human Than Human will be making an appearance at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival in Toronto and opening the conversation about the future of artificial intelligence and let alone its presence.  It will no doubt bring on the existential questions about the ethics of artificial intelligence and if somewhere down the line will robots make humanity obsolete.  That has to be the biggest question that might be answered at the Q&A after this film at Hot Docs.
