She will stream live her first-ever performance at SXSW on March 18th. The queen of country is launching the “Dollyverse” an audience-centric Web3 experience at the South by Southwest Conference and Festival.

Run, Rose, Run

She is promoting her new book with highly acclaimed author James Patterson Run, Rose, Run. The two are speaking at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theatre. The panel will be moderated by Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Connie Britton. Scheduled to open for Parton and Patterson are Kovic, Callie Twisselman, Electra Mustaine and The Brothers Moore. The event on March 18th is streaming live on “Dollyverse” by Eluvio which will power Dolly’s NFT sales.

The Dollyverse

The Dollyverse will feature some exclusive Dolly NFT’s collectibles. In addition, limited edition NFTs of the Run, Rose, Run album will be available before and after SXSW. Those attending the event can claim a free NFT. Moreover, those streaming will be rewarded a free token for their participation.

“There’s almost nothing more important to me than connecting with my fans.  And I’m almost always up for trying something new and different. I’d say releasing NFTs at my first ever appearance at SXSW, with James Patterson by my side, definitely counts as new and different!”

DOLLY PARTON

First performance at SXSW

CEO Scott Greenberg of BCL says Dolly is, “…the perfect person to introduce to the mainstream audience an easy-to-use, Web3 experience that will live stream her SXSW event and provide them the opportunity own and enjoy her music.”

Chief Programmer of SXSW Hugh Forrest is excited. He along with many others is ecstatic of having Dolly Parton perform at this iconic festival for the first time. To begin a post-pandemic version of SXSW and having Parton highlight the festival brings that much-needed swag.

He says, “…Dolly embodies the SXSW spirit as she extends her unique brand of creativity across many verticals”. Forrest emphasizes, “Dolly serves as an inspirational and unifying role model for millions of fans — spanning different ages, occupations, and viewpoints — from all over the world.”
