Death of a Unicorn directed by Alex Scharfman, is set to make its world premiere at the 2025 South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival on March 8, 2025. This fantasy-thriller follows father-daughter duo Elliot (Paul Rudd) and Ridley Kintner (Jenna Ortega) as they accidentally kill a unicorn during a trip. Their encounter leads to the exploitation of the creature’s miraculous healing properties by Elliot’s boss, Dell Leopold (Richard E. Grant), and his family, resulting in unforeseen and deadly consequences.

The film features a stellar cast, including Will Poulter, Téa Leoni, and Richard E. Grant. Produced by A24, known for its distinctive genre-blending productions, Death of a Unicorn combines elements of horror and dark comedy. Following its premiere at SXSW, the film is scheduled for theatrical release on March 28, 2025. FERNTV knows that this is going to be a big hit.
