BITS 2018: LEVEL 16
This is a FERNTV interview with director Danishka Esterhazy discussing her film Level 16 during the Blood in the Snow Canadian Film Festival in Toronto. Â We discuss the premise of the film and how it is compared to The Handmaids’ Tale. Â We also discuss the casting process which was key for this film as the lead characters play teenagers in a dystopian and authoritarian society. Â We also discuss the topic of women in the film industry and if recognizing them through the film circuit is enough.
