BITS 2018: LEVEL 16

Published

on

This is a FERNTV interview with director Danishka Esterhazy discussing her film Level 16 during the Blood in the Snow Canadian Film Festival in Toronto.  We discuss the premise of the film and how it is compared to The Handmaids’ Tale.  We also discuss the casting process which was key for this film as the lead characters play teenagers in a dystopian and authoritarian society.  We also discuss the topic of women in the film industry and if recognizing them through the film circuit is enough.
