HOT DOCS 2018: LOVE, SCOTT
The common denominator at this year’s slate of documentary films at Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival is courage. Â This is the characteristic that has brought directors and subjects alike to bring their story to the masses so they can get better understanding of what they are actually going through within their issue. Â We had the pleasure of interviewing Scott Jones who is a musician the victim of hate crime and the main focus in the documentary Love, Scott. Â One night in Nova Scotia after performing, Scott Jones was attacked became paralyzed which put him in a wheelchair. Â Directed by his best friend Laura Marie Wayne, the documentary follows Scott as he confronts this traumatic episode and the many challenges that goes along with it. Â FERNTV was able to speak to Scott Jones further of what it mean to be in a courageous and inspirational documentary such as this.
