Mads Mikkelsen in Dust Bunny @TIFF 50
Mads Mikkelsen plays a hitman set to help an eight year old get rid of a monster that has ate her family.

Dust Bunny is an upcoming American horror‑thriller marking the feature directorial debut of television auteur Bryan Fuller, known for Hannibal, Pushing Daisies, and more The film will premiere in the Midnight Madness slate at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2025, before hitting U.S. theaters on December 12, 2025
The story follows Aurora (Sophie Sloan), a resolute eight‑year‑old who believes a monster under her bed has devoured her family. She turns to her enigmatic neighbor—portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen—a professional hitman, asking for his help to vanquish a monster who she believes that ate her family. Mikkelsen’s character, however, suspects Aurora’s parents may have become unintended targets in an assassination aimed at him, adding a morally complex twist., The ensemble also features Sigourney Weaver, who plays a “not so nice” character draped in “really beautiful costumes,” and David Dastmalchian, rounding out a star‑studded cast. FERNTV says this film will resemble much like The Professional.
