During the Dances With Films Festival in LA, FERNTV was present when the Gans family arrived at the TCL Chinese Theatre to watch the biopic documentary Voices: The Danny Gans Story. They captured heartfelt moments of director Andrew Gans, who shared with FERNTV how crafting this documentary was a deeply personal journey—unpacking both the highs of Danny Gans’s signature Vegas stardom and the more challenging aspects of his. On the red carpet, Andrew spoke about the responsibility he felt in telling his father’s story, from the locker-room dreams of pro baseball to the medical troubles that eventually took him—a story he wanted to tell “honestly,” so viewers leave inspired to reach out to loved ones.
FERNTV also interviewed Andrew’s daughters, Emily and Amy, along with his wife, Julie, creating a full-circle family moment. Emily and Amy shared their excitement and pride in watching their father honor his father’s legacy in such a heartfelt way, while Julie reflected on the family’s emotional experience seeing their story presented on the big screen.
