Red Carpet Premiere of The Swimmers @TIFF2022
The Swimmers opens TIFF 2022 with a red carpet gala at the Roy Thomson Hall.
It was quite the night for the film The Swimmers which took opening night at the now in-person version of the Toronto International Film Festival. The story of two swimmers Yusra and Sarah Mardini who flee from the war-torn country of Syria all the way to the 2016 Olympics. CEO Cameron Bailey choose this film to open TIFF 2022 and we were delighted to be there on the red carpet for a dazzling opening night. We were able to get an interview with both of the actresses Manal and Nathalie Assal who play the Mardinini sisters. The director Sally El Hosaini and actor Matthias Scheweighöfer who plays one of the coaches in The Swimmers.
