This year’s selection of films at the Sundance Film Festival was thoughtfully curated as audiences worldwide are set to see the iconic festival move to Boulder, Colorado. Who better than to bid adios to the Park City fairgrounds than a film that includes a legend to the industry.

Actor John Turturro will help bridge the gap between the two locales in his upcoming film in a starring role. Turturro plays Harry who is The Only Living Pickpocket in New York. A role that plays well for the native New Yorker and the legacy that he built for himself throughout his career.

Harry is in the last chapter of his life, where he must help someone retrieve stolen goods. Director Noah Segan draws up a metropolis that is so close to the one that we all live in. That being a cashless society. Harry was one of the OG of pickpockets back in the 1980s, where he made a decent living from not getting caught. But times have changed as Harry has gone on to pickpocket other things such as cashless wallets, trackable phones and gym bags with cryptocurrency in them. No doubt in New York is that cash rules everything around us, but that once physical presence of cash was in our hands, is now just a thought in our minds.

The Only Living Pickpocket in New York is a film that you can’t miss during this last edition of Sundance at Park City. It’s a film that exemplifies those little economic changes that have made a big and lasting impact on society. And who better than John Turturro to be in a film like this? A legend who has been in small roles that have had the same big and lasting impact on audiences over time. Did we mention Steve Buscemi and Giancarlo Esposito star in this film? FERNTV says that this is a great film to start the New Year.
