Deep Cover Packs a Punch @Tribeca 2025
Amazon Prime Video’s Deep Cover promises to catch a buzz at Tribeca Film Festival

The Tribeca Film Festival is about to get a jolt of adrenaline and laughter as Deep Cover, a whip-smart action comedy led by Bryce Dallas Howard, storms the screen on June 10th. Directed by British filmmaker Tom Kingsley, the film is set to blend explosive set pieces with razor-sharp improv — all under the chaotic charm of London’s criminal underworld.
Howard plays Kat, a struggling improv comedy teacher whose dreams of stardom seem increasingly out of reach — until an unlikely opportunity presents itself in the form of an undercover detective, played with gritty gravitas by Sean Bean. Desperate for a break, Kat agrees to help infiltrate a dangerous gang by doing what she does best: pretending. She enlists two of her most eccentric students — a wannabe method actor (Orlando Bloom) and a deadpan scene stealer (Nick Mohammed)—to play the roles of seasoned criminals. The result? The outcome is a caper that is wildly unpredictable, with every improv cue potentially a life-or-death moment.
Deep Cover promises to deliver both suspense and satire, thanks to a script brimming with wit and an ensemble cast bursting with comedic energy. Early buzz suggests that Bloom and Mohammed, with their chemistry with Howard, will deliver standout performances that will enthrall audiences.
Premiering as a Spotlight Narrative at Tribeca, Deep Cover is poised to be one of the festival’s breakout crowd-pleasers — a smart, genre-bending romp that asks, what happens when you fake it… and somehow make it?
Catch the world premiere on June 10th — and don’t be surprised if you leave the theater quoting lines between gasps and giggles. FERNTV says that this is the one not to miss.
