The Flora and Fauna Formula...

flora&fauna is an emerging eco-fashion label, founded in May 2008 by Pauline Siu. Spring-Summer 2009 was flora&fauna's first collection, with seven unique pieces inspired by of west coast wildlife and lifestyle. Featured on internationally acclaimed eco-news online magazine, TreeHugger.com as one of "20 Green Fashion Designers You've Never Heard Of (But Oh You Will)", our label quickly established a following in Vancouver, with our glow-in-the-dark Jellyfish Tube Top with Inner Shelf Bra sold out and back in second production by June 2009! The Fall-Winter 2009/10 collection continues with our subtle environmentalist messages, "...a love letter to mother nature" says Maria Jose Hernandez-Cos, editor of String Magazine, upon viewing the collection at Vancouver Fashion Week in March 2009. By June 2009, String Magazine had chosen flora&fauna to present the collection at the String Magazine Spotlight, where flora&fauna was showcased along side with a few other labels in celebration of Vancouver fashion and style. Our commitment to the earth and all its creatures is shown through the use of organic and sustainable fabrics. All of our pieces are ethically made in Vancouver, British Columbia. flora&fauna is proud to be working along side local animal welfare and nature conservation groups, to make the world a cleaner, happier, and healthier place for our future generations. Pauline started working in the fashion industry in Toronto after studying Fashion Design at Ryerson University. Drawn by BC's beautiful surroundings and the abundance of wildlife, Pauline moved to Vancouver where flora&fauna, the eco-fashion label flora&fauna was born.

Drawing inspiration from beauty in nature, the irresistible cuteness of animals, and the intricacy of the planet's delicate eco-system, all of flora&fauna's pieces reflect Pauline's deep love for the natural beauty in our world. With a blend of clean lines, rich colours, and lasting style, flora&fauna incorporates nature and animal themes into each design, and is proud to support local animal welfare and nature conservation organizations.
